ISSF hadde ekstraordinær generalforsamling 25.juni i München hvor NSFs generalsekretær og president deltok. 137 nasjoner var representert (derav 40 ved fullmakt). Tema for generalforsamlingen var endringene i øvelsesprogrammet i OL 2020. IOC tok beslutning om programmet for Tokyo 2020 den 9.juni 2017 (dette IOC-møtet var opprinnelig planlagt ca 10.juli), som medførte at beslutningen var tatt før den ekstraordinære generalforsamlingen.
50M rifle 60 skudd liggende, 50M pistol og dobbel-trap er ute av OL-programmet i 2020 og erstattes av mix-øvelser (lag med en kvinne og en mann) i 10m luftpistol, 10m luftrifle og trap. ISSF nedsetter en komite umiddelbart som skal se på hva som er best for ISSF fra 2024, beslutningen tas av IOC i desember 2020.

ISSF EGA approves Tokyo 2020 Programme and a consultative forum to discuss 2024 and beyond.
The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) today approved the Tokyo 2020 Shooting Sport Olympic program, and the creation of an open and consultative forum comprising athletes, coaches and representatives from Member Federations to review the shooting events for the 2024 Olympic Games and beyond.
The EGA had been called to discuss recommendations made by the ISSF Executive Board to amend the Olympic shooting events programme for Tokyo 2020. These recommendations were approved by the IOC Executive Board on 9 June 2017, validating their compliance with Olympic Agenda 2020 focus on fostering gender equality.
